Something to Think About
Not many people like to think about death. But unless the Lord comes you and I will face death. I have talked to many people while out soul winning and have often asked that question ( if you died today are you 100 percent sure you would go to Heaven). I have been told many different thing's. But the biggest thing is people think that they are going to live for ever.
Proverbs 27:1 Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.
Think about all the people who have kissed a love one bye as they headed out the door for work, Think about the plan's they had made for later that night, But before they could return home to live out those plans death came.
Stop for a second and think about this, what if death came to you today where would you spend eternity. Stop and think about where you would go it can only be in one of two place's, Heaven or Hell.
Allow me to show you how you can have Heaven has you home , when you die.
1.Realize you are a sinner, you can never be saved until you first get lost.
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Maybe you live a good life and obey all of man law's, and that is good, but the sad truth is if you have ever told one lie, That one lie is enough to send you to hell.
And because of our sin. A debt has to be paid for them.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
If you and I had to pay our own sin debt (wage) you and I would have to die and go to hell. There is not enough good works you and I could do to keep us out of hell.
Isaiah 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Ephesians 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
So here is the good news, we have a free gift from GOD the greatest gift ever given.
Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
So we have the free gift of eternal life from God, It is a gift that coast you and I nothing but it cost him everything on the cross.
So you and I have a decision to make to receive that free gift or ignore it and one day die and go to hell.
If you realize you're a sinner in need of a savior, this is what you must do in order to be saved.
Romans 10: 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
I hope and pray you would stop and think about where you would spend eternity if you died today, and then I pray that you would make the right decision.
